This fire safety glossary was prepared by Solutions Fire Safety Ltd. Terms are specific to and in general use by fire safety professionals, agencies and rescue services. Extracts have been taken from British Standards and Fire Safety Regulations and Legislation as well as providing information through our own experience and knowledge from our Frequently asked Questions.
Terms have been listed in alphabetical order with a different letter starting on each page with the exception of J, K, Q 7 X. It is intended to be used as a reference document. This publication does not include all the necessary provisions.
